5/9/2023 0 Comments Shaders texture packThis seems to occur both on Vanilla and Sodium, didn't yet test for Optifine. Then I removed the ore models from the texture pack and the VRAM usage dropped to 0.1GB. If I went underground it would climb to over 6GB and then crash with a out of memory error. With your texture pack including ores for 15 chunks render distance I had 3.9GB of VRAM usage. I play at 17 chunks render distance on my GPU with 8GB of VRAM. However due to the lack of back face culling not only do you get that harmless effect, but the ore blocks are always rendered, even when on the surface. This means that if you go into Spectator mode, you will get a sort of "xray" effect. However if you go into spectator mode you will see that back face culling does not effect your ore models. So as it turns out if you use the Nautilus 3D texturepack ores have 3D models, as intended. Second however, is a much bigger issue that has caused me over 14 hours of work, and 3 days of troubleshooting alongside a Windows 10 reinstall. Trying to solve this would be much appreciated for those who use Sodium and Iris due to their much better performance over Optifine. However there are 2 issues, one is much more severe than the other.įirst, the furnace texture seem to be black when the furnaces are cooking (all the furnace types) when using sodium.
